Strategic Briefing: Learn how professional traders read raw market structure and institutional liquidity without relying on lagging indicators.
Price Action trading operates on the philosophy that all necessary market data is already reflected in the raw price. Instead of relying on lagging oscillators, price action traders analyze the tape, candle structure, and localized market geometry.
Market Structure and Swings
The foundation of price action is identifying Higher Highs (HH) and Higher Lows (HL) for uptrends, and Lower Highs (LH) and Lower Lows (LL) for downtrends. A "Break of Structure" (BOS) occurs when this sequence is violated, offering the earliest possible signal of a macro trend reversal.
Liquidity Sweeps
A major concept in naked trading is the Liquidity Sweep. Market makers often push the price just past a major swing high or swing low to trigger retail stop-losses (creating a massive liquidity pool) before instantly reversing the price in the opposite direction. Identifying these sweeps prevents traders from buying the absolute top or selling the absolute bottom.
